No. 12 | MASQUERADE

Have you ever caught yourself so lost?
Or dreaming and when thinking doesn’t make sense?
Have you ever been so helpless?
Or weak, deteriorating like a rotten roach?
Have you ever felt too much energy?
An ounce more of giddiness and you’ll explode.
Have you ever felt lonely despite the crowd?
Or felt at ease and found peace on your own?
Have you ever wished time would stop?
Or rewind a past then be thrilled to your future all at once?
Have you ever missed someone so bad?
Either he’s a first  or never was.
Have you ever tried to defy failure?
Or succumbed to false successes and felt proud.
Have you ever seen yourself driven?
Or  wanted to explore possibilities but felt too little.
Have you ever wondered how to express?
You tried but you’re wounded and lost of words so it ended.
Have you ever asked yourself if freedom is for real?
Or imagine if one truly lives?
Have you ever tried to question other’s  sanity?
Or validate your own insanity?
Have you ever realized how frightening and vulnerable can you be?
That when you are stripped naked they see nobody
Have you ever been afraid?.
Either of the angel they have imagined
Or the monster that you have created?
Have you ever tried living to conceal?
Or stopped to live so as to conceal?
Maybe, it’s true and fair not to try so hard
But just live.
Conceal if you must
For it is only when you conceal and stop to live
That you truly live.
